Frequently Asked Questions

InvoiceChecker is a legal invoice review platform. Upload a bill, select the checks that apply, and receive line-level flags with clear reasoning, a concise PDF report, and useful metrics to support approvals and vendor conversations.

  1. Register and sign in.
  2. Choose checks you want to run (Foundational, Billing Policy, Expense Control, Advanced, and your Custom rules).
  3. Upload your invoice (LEDES 1998B is preferred; CSV/pipe, XML, DOC/DOCX, and digital PDFs are supported; scanned PDFs/images work with caveats).
  4. Review line-level flags, keep or clear, and add reviewer comments.
  5. Export a PDF report and view metrics to inform approvals and firm discussions.

We extract invoice lines and run them against the rules you select. Some checks are deterministic (rule-based). Others use AI to interpret language and context. Each flag cites the specific line and provides plain-language reasoning.

Open a flag to see the rationale and context, keep or clear it, and add reviewer comments. This creates an auditable decision trail and helps focus approval reviews on what needs attention.

Yes. Your organization can share access, review flags together, and comment on specific items to keep decisions transparent and consistent.

Plans are billed via credit card (Stripe). A trial may be available for a limited number of invoices or time. You can manage billing and plan changes from your account dashboard.


We protect uploaded billing data with enterprise-grade safeguards:
  • Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256 class)
  • Private storage by default and signed URLs for controlled sharing
  • Least-privilege access and role-based controls
  • Cloud platform with SOC 2 Type II posture and third-party control validation
You remain the owner of your data. You can export or request deletion of stored results (subject to legal and technical limits).

The Service is not intended for privileged communications or sensitive litigation documents. Avoid uploading materials that could risk waiver. Consult your legal team on internal data-handling policies where needed.

Yes. InvoiceChecker combines deterministic rules with AI where it adds clarity. AI may be provided by trusted third-party vendors under strict security and confidentiality obligations. Outputs are informational and should be reviewed by your team.
